Corporate site restructure and design revamp - responsive website

The brief

Swire properties were looking to update and enhance their online digital space. They want to be seen as the market leaders they are and developing their site will be the first step in improving their market presence in the digital space. They felt their current site didn’t reflect their place as market leaders in property development around the globe.

They are looking for a new contemporary look and feel that helps highlight key features and content that is important to new as well as their existing users.

Main objectives

  1. Redevelop the corporate website to enhance Swire Properties users’ experience through improved functionality, design and content.
  2. Reflect Swire’s position as an industry leader known for originality, attention to detail and exceptional quality execution.
  3. Consider how this revamp would/should impact your related digital ecosystem – social media, internal websites and email communication.
  4. Explore new digital tools, such as web chats or booking systems for office/apartment viewing.
  5. Develop a clear content structure and information architecture

The solution

We carried out a comprehensive market and business research alongside user-centred design methodologies to ensure a redesigned digital presence was focused on the needs of users as well as complying with the business requirements.

We kicked off with stakeholder and user research, interviewing both Swire Properties stakeholders and their users.

We instigated  a detailed research phase of the local and international marketplace, undertaking competitor, comparative and best in class research. This research enabled us to quickly understand and develop a clear information and content structure that would allow key information and useful content to shine through.

We went on to develop a customer experience strategy for the project, amalgamating all of our research findings.

Our design phase was initiated in a lean and collaborative way, sketching out numerous ideas on paper before going on to create detailed user journeys and experience designs.

My role

During this project, I was responsible for collaborating with the client directly to develop the digital and content strategies. Undertaking the detailed research needed to develop our ideation phase. Creating a well-structured user research and testing sessions.
